Dr. Tammie McClafferty, Ed.D, MAR, MAT Tammie is the Executive Director of Lifework Leadership First Coast. After graduating from Cedarville University with a degree in Elementary Education, Tammie taught in Pennsylvania for several years. Once she began to have children, she and her husband Sean embarked on starting their own school, The Sycamore Center, to service the needs of their community.
After Tammie earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching and expanded their school to four locations, God called her to Jacksonville, Florida to attend Seminary. She continued to pursue God’s calling and earned a Master’s degree in Religious Studies while serving as the Principal of Accotink Academy. This led to her accepting the position of Director of Southeastern University JAX, where she was also a professor of Religion and Leadership. Most recently she has become the Executive Director of Lifework Leadership, a 9-month faith-based leadership development program to help professionals bring their work and faith into greater conjunction. Lifework has recently opened its first Community Impact Project - Cup of Jōb in Jacksonville Beach. This is a fully licensed coffee shop designed to serve the needs of the homeless in that area. Lifework has also expanded to the youth of the city through its brand-new G.R.I.T. program.
Most recently she finished her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, has co-authored a book entitled “Sheworks4Him - Christian Women in the Workforce”, serves as a Leadership Enrichment Facilitator for the University of North Florida, and is a professor at Trinity Baptist College. She is a trustee at Trinity College, sits on the Board of Beaches Rescue and Recovery, and is the Ambassador Captain for Alliance Defending Freedom for NorthEast Florida and the board chairman for the North East Florida Christian Chamber. Tammie has been married since 1995 and has three amazing kids: Baylie (20), Creed (19), and Canon (16).
